During the procedure, a high-energy beam of laser light is used to smooth out lines, fine wrinkles and scars, remove brown spots and other irregularities, and tighten the skin. It also stimulates formation of new underlying collagen to continue improvement over time.

DeepFX

DeepFX reaches deeper into the skin to create a more intense thermal response. Heat is the catalyst for new collagen production. The DeepFX laser beam is very narrow and reaches the collagen in the dermis. Besides the immediate collagen shrinkage, new collagen growth begins with your treatment and this collagen growth continues for months. After 3 to 6 months you will reach your “best response” with skin that is tighter, smoother, and more luminous.

Will Active/Deep FX help with facial scarring?

For acne or facial scarring, the ActiveFX allows a moderate level of improvement, but may take several treatments depending on the variation in scar depths. Wrinkles and scars have a dermal component and are most effectively treated by penetrating deep into the problem areas with Deep FX.

What can you expect following your ActiveFX DeepFX treatment?

The procedure is performed in the office with a topical anesthetic cream that is applied 1 hour before the laser procedure begins. Most patients experience a warm feeling similar to a sunburn. With our gentle post-laser Skincare regimen, the photo-damaged skin begins to flake off within 2-3 days. After about 5 to 6 days, sunscreen and make-up can be applied to the skin. Pinkness should be gone in about a two weeks.
