Micro Needling (know as Collagen Induction Therapy or CTI) for the treatment of fine lines, acne scars, and improvement of the skin’s overall appearance. We customize each treatment to fit the needs of your skin with a variety of antioxidants, peptides, brighteners, and hydration serums. During this procedure, tiny needles are used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to produce collagen and elastin, resulting in a thicker dermis and skin support structure. The Eclipse Micropen™ creates superficial micro-channels which allow the customized serums and gels to be absorbed more effectively into the skin.
What to expect during Micro Needling
A topical numbing gel is applied to the skin 30 – 45 minutes before the treatment. Eclipse Micropen™ feels similar to light sandpaper gently buffing the skin while a sterile tip-containing 12 tiny micro needles works its magic. The treatment takes 15-30 minutes depending on the size of the area treated.
The healing time depends on the depth of needles used and the number of overlapping passes performed. On average, patients are red up to 2 to 4 days. Some patients heal completely in as little as 24 hours and notice an immediate glow to their skin. Visible changes to the skin develop over the course of several days and weeks. Results continue to improve up to 6 months after the treatment as collagen production continues.
How many micro pen treatments are required?
For optimal results, a series of 3-4 treatments spaced about 6 weeks apart is recommended. For patients with deep wrinkles, advanced photo-aging, stretch marks or acne scars it is recommended to receive 6-8 sessions at 4-6 week intervals.
The benefits of micro-needling are a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, younger-looking skin with fewer signs of aging, and overall skin rejuvenation. This treatment can be done on the face, neck, décolleté, arms, hands, legs, abdomen and back. You will notice a fresher and healthier complexion after a French Facial Glow.
